Stunning NYC Engagement Photos at Gantry Plaza State Park
I recently had the pleasure of photographing Sam and Mark’s engagement session at the beautiful Gantry Plaza State Park in NYC. This session was particularly special for me as it was a referral from a past client, who is also a wedding planner. Gantry Plaza State Park provided the perfect backdrop for Sam and Mark’s NYC engagement photos. With its stunning views of the NYC skyline and serene waterfront, it’s a dream location for any photographer. The park is located in Long Island City and is adjacent to Hunter’s Point South Park, offering a variety of scenic spots. One of the most recognizable landmarks near the park is the iconic Pepsi Cola sign, a perfect backdrop for unique and memorable photos. Despite being a two-hour drive from my home, the trip was well worth it to capture these magical moments for such a wonderful couple.

One of the delightful surprises of this NYC engagement session was discovering the personal connections I shared with Sam and Mark. Sam noticed my Totoro tattoo and Navi from Zelda, which sparked an immediate connection as she is a fan too. It’s always fun to find common ground with my clients, and it makes the session even more enjoyable. Mark and I also bonded over our mutual love for video games, which added a layer of camaraderie and comfort to the shoot.
